- Detects full length (~17kD) FHIT protein in cell and tissue lysates derived from human and rat in Western blot. It is not reactive with mouse FHIT protein. Reactivity has been confirmed by Western blotting using lysates from rat brain, colon, spleen, stomach, kidney, lung, small intestine and testes as well as 293T cells and COS cells transfected with a pCMV-FHIT-FLAG construct. Reacts with human and rat FHIT. Cross-reactivity with rat has been confirmed in WB only. Suitability for use with rat in IHC has not yet been evaluated.
