- IPO-T10 recognizes CD98. The CD98 molecule is a heterodimer made of a disulfide-linked glycosylated heavy chain of approximately 80-90 kD and a non-glycosylated light chain. The heavy chain is a type II integral membrane protein containing a 50-81 amino acid NH2-terminal cytoplasmic domain, a single transmembrane sequence, and a large extracellular domain. CD98 is detected on monocytes and activated cells.
