Description
RTN4RL2 (Reticulon-4 receptor-like 2) is a cell surface receptor that is thought to play a role in regulating axonal migration and plasticity in the adult central nervous system. It has redundant functions in inhibiting neurite outgrowth and in postnatal brain development. It has neuro-protective, anti-apoptotic effects in the brain.

Specificity
Three alternatively spliced transcript variants have been observed. RTN4RL2 antibody is predicted to not cross-react with other Nogo receptor-like proteins.
