  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

DAG1 / Dystroglycan antibody was raised against synthetic peptide corresponding to aa572-604 of human cranin.
Recognizes human Cranin (dystroglycan), extracellular site, near the C-terminus of the alpha-subunit. The expression and localization of cranin varies considerably according to the cells physiologic state and differentiation state. Species cross-reactivity: rat, mouse, sheep, chicken and Xenopus.
Suitable for use in ELISA, Immunohistochemistry and Immunocytochemistry. Not suggested for use in Western Blot. Immunohistochemistry: 1:1-1:50. On tissue fixed briefly with 0.5% glutaraldehyde, 4% paraformaldehyde, methanol or acetone. Prolonged fixation must be avoided. Immunocytochemistry: Neuron, astrocyte, smooth muscle, fibroblast and epithelial cell lines.

Ascites fluid. Contains no preservative.
Short term 4°C, long term aliquot and store at -20°C, avoid freeze thaw cycles. Store undiluted.
For research use only.

About DAG1 / Dystroglycan

DAG1 Antibody, 156DAG Antibody, A3a Antibody, AGRNR Antibody, DAG Antibody, Dystroglycan Antibody, MDDGC7 Antibody

The dystroglycan complex is involved in a number of processes including laminin and basement membrane assembly, sarcolemmal stability, cell survival, peripheral nerve myelination, nodal structure, cell migration, and epithelial polarization.Alpha-dystroglycan is an extracellular peripheral glycoprotein that acts as a receptor for both extracellular matrix proteins containing laminin-G domains, and for certain adenoviruses.
