  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

CYTIP antibody was raised against synthetic peptide corresponding to a region in the C-terminal portion of mouse Cybr.
mouse Cybr. A BLAST analysis was used to suggest cross-reactivity with Cybr from mouse and rat based on a 100% homology with the immunizing sequence. Reactivity against homologs from other sources is not known
This antibody has been tested for use in ELISA and immunoprecipitation. Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user. Expect a band approximately 40 kD in size corresponding to Cybr by western blotting after IP in the appropriate cell lysate or extract. To date, this antibody has not shown direct detection of endogenous or over-expressed Cybr protein, but is capable of immunoprecipitating the antigen from lysates. It is possible, but has not yet been confirmed, that this antibody recognizes a conformational epitope.

CYTIP contains 2 leucine zipper domains and a putative C-terminal nuclear targeting signal, but does not have any hydrophobic regions. This protein is expressed weakly in resting NK and T cells. The encoded protein modulates the activation of ARF genes by CYTH1. This protein interacts with CYTH1 and SNX27 proteins and may act to sequester CYTH1 protein in the cytoplasm.

Western blot

Western blot
Anti-Cybr Antibody - Western Blot. Western blot of anti-Cybr antibody shows detection of recombinant Cybr using anti-HA tag antibody after immunoprecipitation using anti-Cybr. Lane 5 contains lysate from control HEK293 cells. Lane 6 shows IP/WB of HEK293 cells expressing Cybr-HA. Lane 7 and 8 are loaded similarly to lanes 5 and 6 but were immunoprecipitated with anti-HA. Lane 9 contains marker. Lane 10 contains purified CybrHA. Personal Communication, V. Coppola, NCI, Bethesda, MD.
