Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to
worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting
immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.
TCR Screening Services
Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding.
Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".
PTK7, a CCK4 membrane spanning tyrosine protein kinase, belongs to a subgroup of kinases that lack detectable catalytic tyrosine kinase activity but retain roles in signal transduction. PTK7 may function as a cell adhesion molecule. This gene was isolated from carcinomic colon tissue and has been suggested to affect colon carcinoma physiology. Expression of PTK7 has been shown to be reduced in melanoma samples.
Formalin-fixed and paraffin-embedded human cancer tissue reacted with the primary antibody, which was peroxidase-conjugated to the secondary antibody, followed by DAB staining. This data demonstrates the use of this antibody for immunohistochemistry; clinical relevance has not been evaluated. BC = breast carcinoma; HC = hepatocarcinoma.
Western blot of CCK4 (arrow) using rabbit polyclonal CCK4 Antibody. 293 cell lysates (2 ug/lane) either nontransfected (Lane 1) or transiently transfected with the PTK7 gene (Lane 2) (Origene Technologies).
Flow cytometric of NCI-H460 cells using CCK4 (PTK7) Antibody (bottom histogram) compared to a negative control cell (top histogram). FITC-conjugated goat-anti-rabbit secondary antibodies were used for the analysis.
