Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

BACE1 / BACE antibody was raised against synthetic 15 amino acid peptide from internal region of human BACE1. Percent identity with other species by BLAST analysis: Human, Gibbon, Monkey, Marmoset, Mouse, Rat, Dog, Bat, Bovine, Hamster, Elephant, Panda, Horse, Rabbit, Pig, Opossum, Guinea pig (100%); Platypus (87%); Xenopus, Pufferfish, Zebrafish, Stickleback (80%).
LS-E29508 - Liquid - 50 µg - $145.00
Internal
Human BACE1. BLAST analysis of the peptide immunogen showed no homology with other human proteins.
Immunohistochemistry: LS-A8893 was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity. The optimal working concentration for LS-A8893 was determined to be 2.5 ug/ml.

About BACE1 / BACE

P56817 NM_012104 NP_036236.1

BACE1 Antibody, APP beta-secretase Antibody, Asp 2 Antibody, ASP2 Antibody, Aspartyl protease 2 Antibody, Aspartylprotease 2 Antibody, Beta-secretase Antibody, Beta-site APP-cleaving enzyme Antibody, BACE Antibody, HSPC104 Antibody, KIAA1149 Antibody, B-Secretase Antibody, Beta-secretase 1 Antibody, Memapsin-2 Antibody

Responsible for the proteolytic processing of the amyloid precursor protein (APP). Cleaves at the N-terminus of the A-beta peptide sequence, between residues 671 and 672 of APP, leads to the generation and extracellular release of beta-cleaved soluble APP, and a corresponding cell-associated C-terminal fragment which is later released by gamma-secretase.

Immunohistochemistry

Immunohistochemistry
Anti-BACE1 antibody LS-A8893 IHC of human pancreas. Immunohistochemistry of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue after heat-induced antigen retrieval.
