  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

ASAP1 antibody was raised against synthetic peptide from mouse ASAP1.
Amino acids 777-787 of mouse ASAP1 protein (see below).
This affinity purified antibody has been tested for use in ELISA, IF microscopy and by western blot. Specific conditions for reactivity should be optimized by the end user. Expect a band approximately 130 kD in size corresponding to ASAP1 protein by western blotting in the appropriate cell lysate or extract. This antibody recognizes both phosphorylated and nonphosphorylated ASAP1 at amino acid Y782.

0.02 M potassium phosphate, 0.15 M sodium chloride, pH 7.2, 0.01% sodium azide.
Store vial at -20 C prior to opening. Dilute only prior to immediate use. For extended storage aliquot contents and freeze at -20 C or below. Avoid cycles of freezing and thawing.
For research use only.

About ASAP1

Q9ULH1 NM_018482 NP_060952.2

ASAP1 Antibody, AMAP1 Antibody, Centaurin, beta 4 Antibody, CENTB4 Antibody, DEF-1 Antibody, DDEF1 Antibody, KIAA1249 Antibody, PAP Antibody, PIP2-dependent ARF1 GAP Antibody, PAG2 Antibody, ZG14P Antibody

Possesses phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate-dependent GTPase-activating protein activity for ARF1 (ADP ribosylation factor 1) and ARF5 and a lesser activity towards ARF6. May coordinate membrane trafficking with cell growth or actin cytoskeleton remodeling by binding to both SRC and PIP2. May function as a signal transduction protein involved in the differentiation of fibroblasts into adipocytes and possibly other cell types (By similarity). Plays a role in ciliogenesis.

Anti-ASAP1 Antibody - Immunofluorescent Microscopy. Immunofluorescent microscopy using Affinity Purified anti-ASAP1 antibody shows detection of ASAP1present in mouse NIH3T3 cells transfected with activated Src. Specific staining is not present when antibody is pre-incubated with the immunizing peptide prior to reaction with cells. Personal Communication. Paul Randazzo, NIH, CCR, Bethesda, MD.
