Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

ARTN / Artemin antibody was raised against e.coli derived recombinant Human Artemin.
Human Artemin
The applications listed have been tested for the unconjugated form of this product. Other forms have not been tested. ELISA: To detect hArtemin by direct ELISA (using 100 ul/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.25-1 ug/ml of this antibody is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents, allows the detection of at least 0.2-0.4 ng/well of recombinant hArtemin. To detect hArtemin by sandwich ELISA (using 100 ul/well antibody solution) a concentration of 0.25-1 ug/ml of this antibody is required. This biotinylated polyclonal antibody, in conjunction with Polyclonal Anti-Human Artemin (LS-C104679) as a capture antibody, allows the detection of at least 0.2-0.4 ng/well of recombinant hArtemin. Western Blot: To detect hArtemin by Western Blot analysis this antibody can be used at a concentration of 0.1-0.2 ug/ml. Used in conjunction with compatible secondary reagents the detection limit for recombinant hArtemin is 1.5-3 ng/lane, under either reducing or non-reducing conditions.

About ARTN / Artemin

Q5T4W7 NM_003976 NP_003967.2

ARTN Antibody, ENOVIN Antibody, EVN Antibody, Neurotrophic factor Antibody, Artemin Antibody, Neublastin Antibody

ARTN / Artemin is a member of the glial cell line-derived neurotophic factor (GDNF) family of ligands which are a group of ligands within the TGF-beta superfamily of signaling molecules. GDNFs are unique in having neurotrophic properties and have potential use for gene therapy in neurodegenerative disease. Artemin has been shown in culture to support the survival of a number of peripheral neuron populations and at least one population of dopaminergic CNS neurons.
