  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

APOD / Apolipoprotein D antibody was raised against synthetic peptide from mouse APOD / Apolipoprotein D.
Synthetic peptide corresponding to N-terminal residues of mouse APOD(Apolipoprotein D precursor).
Immunohistochemistry: LS-B2158 was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity. The optimal working concentration for LS-B2158 was determined to be 10 ug/ml.

PBS, 0.01% sodium azide, 50% glycerol.
Short term 4°C, long term aliquot and store at -20°C, avoid freeze thaw cycles.

About APOD / Apolipoprotein D

P05090 NM_001647 NP_001638.1

APOD Antibody, Apo-D Antibody, Apolipoprotein D Antibody

APOD / Apolipoprotein D is a component of high density lipoprotein that has no marked similarity to other apolipoprotein sequences. It has a high degree of homology to plasma retinol-binding protein and other members of the alpha 2 microglobulin protein superfamily of carrier proteins, also known as lipocalins. This glycoprotein is closely associated with the enzyme lecithin:cholesterol acyltransferase - an enzyme involved in lipoprotein metabolism.

Anti-APOD / Apolipoprotein D antibody IHC of human kidney. Immunohistochemistry of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue after heat-induced antigen retrieval. Antibody LS-B2158 concentration 10 ug/ml.
