Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Applications

  • IHC - Paraffin (1:100 - 1:1000)
  • Western blot (1:500 - 1:3000)

Specificity and Use

ABHD16A / BAT5 antibody was raised against recombinant fragment corresponding to a region within amino acids 14 and 261 of BAT5 (SwissProt O95870). Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Human (100%); Mouse, Bovine (98%).
Human ABHD16A / BAT5
Suggested starting dilutions are as follows: Western blot: 1:500-1:3000, IHC-Paraffin: 1:100-1:1000 [suggested antigen retrieval using heat mediated 10 mM Citrate buffer (pH 6.0) or Tris-EDTA buffer (pH 8.0)]. Not yet tested in other applications. Optimal working dilutions should be determined experimentally by the end user.

Packaging

0.1 M Tris-glycine, pH 7, 20% Glycerol, 0.01% Thimerosal

ABHD16A Antibody, D6S82E Antibody, HLA-B associated transcript 5 Antibody, HLA-B-associated transcript 5 Antibody, G5 Antibody, NG26 Antibody, PP199 Antibody, BAT5 Antibody, Protein G5 Antibody

A cluster of genes, BAT1-BAT5, has been localized in the vicinity of the genes for tumor necrosis factor alpha and tumor necrosis factor beta. These genes are all within the human major histocompatibility complex class III region. The protein encoded by this gene is thought to be involved in some aspects of immunity. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been described.
