Specificity and Use
Produced in BALB/c X ICR F1 mice using recombinant human Eotaxin-2 as the immunizing antigen.
ELISA: In a sandwich ELISA (assuming 100 ul/well), a concentration of 2-3 ug/ml of this antibody will detect at least 8pg/well of recombinant human Eotaxin-2 when used with biotinylated antigen affinity purified anti-human Eotaxin-2 as the detection antibody at a concentration of at least 1 ug/ml.

CCL24 / Eotaxin 2 belongs to the subfamily of small cytokine CC genes. Cytokines are a family of secreted proteins involved in immunoregulatory and inflammatory processes. The CC cytokines are proteins characterized by two adjacent cysteines. The cytokine encoded by this gene displays chemotactic activity on resting T lymphocytes, a minimal activity on neutrophils, and is negative on monocytes and activated T lymphocytes.
