Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to
worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting
immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.
TCR Screening Services
Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding.
Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use
BFSP2 antibody was raised against phakinin purified from calf lens.
Specific detection of phakinin (Mr 47000 polypeptide), intermediate filament protein detected in lens. Cross-reacts with filensin (115kD polypeptide also present in lens). Species cross-reactivity: Human and bovine.
Suitable for use in Western Blot (Western) and Immunohistochemistry (frozen tissue sections). Western Blot (Western): 1:5000 (ECL). Immunohistochemistry: 1:100; Incubation Time 1 hr at RT.
Short term: 4°C; Long term: Add glycerol (40-50%) -20°C.
More than 99% of the vertebrate ocular lens is comprised of terminally differentiated lens fiber cells. Two lens-specific intermediate filament-like proteins, the protein product of this gene (phakinin), and filensin, are expressed only after fiber cell differentiation has begun. Both proteins are found in a structurally unique cytoskeletal element that is referred to as the beaded filament (BF).
