  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

Apolipoprotein C-I antibody was raised against native human Apo C-I.
Recognizes human Apo C-I in plasma and lipoproteins. Does not cross-react with plasma Apo A-I, Apo A-II, Apo B-100, Apo C-II, Apo C-III and Apo-E.
Immunohistochemistry: LS-B2912 was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity. The optimal working concentration for LS-B2912 was determined to be 5 ug/ml.

PBS, pH 7.2, 0.5 mM EDTA, 0.02% sodium azide, 40% glycerol.
Long term: -20°C; Short term: +4°C. Avoid repeat freeze-thaw cycles.

Apolipoprotein (apo) C-I gene is expressed primarily in the liver, and it is activated when monocytes differentiate into macrophages. A copy of the apo C-I gene, apo C-I', is located 4 kb downstream in the same orientation, on the same chromosome. However, apo C-I' gene has no detectable mRNA product in any tissue, suggesting that it may be a pseudogene. The apoC-I gene is 4653 bases long and the apo C-I' is 4387 base pairs, and each contains four exons and 3 introns.

Anti-APOC1 / Apolipoprotein CI antibody IHC of human liver. Immunohistochemistry of formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded tissue after heat-induced antigen retrieval. Antibody LS-B2912 concentration 5 ug/ml.
