Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to
worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting
immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.
TCR Screening Services
Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding.
Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".
(applications tested for the base form of this product only)
Specificity and Use
Recombinant mouse fertilin produced by baculovirus expression in SF9 cells.
Recognizes mouse fertilin beta by immunoblot, staining of bands in a 46-48kD range (multiple bands are due to variable protein glycosylation).
Suitable for use in Western Blot. Not suitable for Immunofluorescence. Western Blot: 1:500-1:1000 dilution for detected against sperm lysates, using standard alkaline phosphatase with NBT/BCIP detection.
PBS, 0.05% sodium azide.
Short term: +4°C; Long term: Add glycerol (40-50%) -20°C.
Sperm surface membrane protein that may be involved in sperm-egg plasma membrane adhesion and fusion during fertilization. Could have a direct role in sperm-zona binding or migration of sperm from the uterus into the oviduct. Interactions with egg membrane could be mediated via binding between its disintegrin-like domain to one or more integrins receptors on the egg. This is a non catalytic metalloprotease-like protein.
