  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Specificity and Use

ACCN1 / ASIC2 antibody was raised against highly purified peptide corresponding to residues 2-18 of rat or human ASIC2 (Accession Q16515).
Recognizes ASIC2. The epitope used for the immunogen is specific for ASIC2 and is not similar to any other known protein. The epitope is not specific for ASIC2b (MDEG2) splice variant. Species Reactivity: Rat. It is expected that the antibody will also react with mouse due to immunogen sequence homology (100%).
Western blotting: 1:200 using ECL on rat brain membranes. Dilutions should be made using a carrier protein such as BSA (1-3%).

50 µl deionized water
Short term: 4°C. Long term: Store at -20°C. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.

ACCN1 / ASIC2 is a member of the degenerin/epithelial sodium channel (DEG/ENaC) superfamily. The members of this family are amiloride-sensitive sodium channels that contain intracellular N and C termini, 2 hydrophobic transmembrane regions, and a large extracellular loop, which has many cysteine residues with conserved spacing. The member encoded by this gene may play a role in neurotransmission.
