Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Immunogen
Multi drug resistant Chinese hamster ovary cell line, CHrC5.
Specificity
Recognizes the 170-180kD P-glycoprotein, a plasma membrane associated molecule which is important in mediating resistance to cytotoxic drugs. In normal tissues P-glycoprotein is expressed in liver, kidney, colon, adrenal gland and lung. In malignant conditions increased expression of P-glycoprotein may be associated with multi-drug resistance, and the detection of this can have important consequences for treatment. This clone has also been reported to be suitable for Western blot analysis.
Usage
Immunohistology: This product requires protein digestion pre-treatment of paraffin sections e. g. 0.1% pronase, 10 mins.
Presentation
PBS, 0.09% Sodium Azide, 1% BSA
Storage
Store at 4°C or -20°C. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Restrictions
For research use only.
About ABCB1 / MDR1 / P Glycoprotein
The membrane-associated protein encoded by this gene is a member of the superfamily of ATP-binding cassette (ABC) transporters. ABC proteins transport various molecules across extra- and intra-cellular membranes. ABC genes are divided into seven distinct subfamilies (ABC1, MDR/TAP, MRP, ALD, OABP, GCN20, White). This protein is a member of the MDR/TAP subfamily. Members of the MDR/TAP subfamily are involved in multidrug resistance. P08183 NM_000927 NP_000918.2
