A 22 amino acid peptide from porcine ChAT, coupled to KLH. The sequence is HGLFSSYRLPGHTQDTLVAQKSS- NH2. Percent identity by BLAST analysis: Elephant, Panda, Bovine, Dog, Horse, Pig (96%); Human, Gorilla, Gibbon, Monkey, Mouse, Rat, Bat, Cat (91%); Rabbit, Opossum, Turkey, Chicken, Platypus (87%).
Specificity
Choline Acetyltransferase (ChAT). Will stain cholinergic neurons in rat, guinea-pig and rabbit central and peripheral nervous systems. Species Reactivity: Rat, guinea pig and rabbit.
