TNFRSF9 / 4-1BB / CD137

tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily, member 9

TNFRSF9 / 4-1BB / CD137 is a member of the TNF-receptor superfamily. This receptor contributes to the clonal expansion, survival, and development of T cells. It can also induce proliferation in peripheral monocytes, enhance T cell apoptosis induced by TCR/CD3 triggered activation, and regulate CD28 co-stimulation to promote Th1 cell responses. The expression of this receptor is induced by lymphocyte activation. TRAF adaptor proteins have been shown to bind to this receptor and transduce the signals leading to activation of NF-kappaB.

Gene Name: tumor necrosis factor receptor superfamily, member 9
Family/Subfamily: TNF Receptor , not assigned-TNF Receptor
Synonyms: TNFRSF9, 4-1BB ligand receptor, 4-1BB, CD137 antigen, CD137, Homolog of mouse 4-1BB, ILA, Receptor protein 4-1BB, T cell antigen ILA, T-cell antigen 4-1BB homolog, T-cell antigen ILA, CDw137

TNFRSF9 / 4-1BB / CD137 Antibody - Immunofluorescent analysis of CD137 staining in HepG2 cells. Formalin-fixed cells were permeabilized with 0.1% Triton X-100 in TBS for 5-10 minutes and blocked with 3% BSA-PBS for 30 minutes at room temperature. Cells were probed with the primary antibody in 3% BSA-PBS and incubated overnight at 4 deg C in a humidified chamber. Cells were washed with PBST and incubated with a DyLight 594-conjugated secondary antibody (red) in PBS at room temperature in the dark. DAPI was used to stain the cell nuclei (blue).
