TIMM17B

translocase of inner mitochondrial membrane 17 homolog B (yeast)

TIMM17B is a multipass transmembrane protein that forms an integral component of the mitochondrial translocase TIM23 complex. This complex facilitates the transport of mitochondrial proteins from the cytosol across the mitochondrial inner membrane and into the mitochondrion. There is a pseudogene for this gene on chromosome 12. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.

Gene Name: translocase of inner mitochondrial membrane 17 homolog B (yeast)
Synonyms: TIMM17B, JM3, TIM17B, DXS9822
Target Sequences: NM_005834 NP_005825.1 O60830

TIMM17B Antibody - Immunofluorescence staining of TIMM17B in U2OS cells. Cells were fixed with 4% PFA, permeabilzed with 0.1% Triton X-100 in PBS, blocked with 10% serum, and incubated with rabbit anti-Human TIMM17B polyclonal antibody (dilution ratio 1:200) at 4°C overnight. Then cells were stained with the Alexa Fluor 488-conjugated Goat Anti-rabbit IgG secondary antibody (green) and counterstained with DAPI (blue). Positive staining was localized to Cytoplasm.

TIMM17B Antibody - 1:100 staining human lymph carcinoma tissue by IHC-P. The sample was formaldehyde fixed and a heat mediated antigen retrieval step in citrate buffer was performed. The sample was then blocked and incubated with the antibody for 1.5 hours at 22°C. An HRP conjugated goat anti-rabbit antibody was used as the secondary.
