RFX2

regulatory factor X, 2 (influences HLA class II expression)

RFX2 is a member of the regulatory factor X gene family, which encodes transcription factors that contain a highly-conserved winged helix DNA binding domain. The protein encoded by this gene is structurally related to regulatory factors X1, X3, X4, and X5. It is a transcriptional activator that can bind DNA as a monomer or as a heterodimer with other RFX family members. This protein can bind to cis elements in the promoter of the IL-5 receptor alpha gene. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been described for this gene, and both variants utilize alternative polyadenylation sites.

Gene Name: regulatory factor X, 2 (influences HLA class II expression)
Synonyms: RFX2, DNA-binding protein RFX2, Regulatory factor X 2, Dna binding protein rfx2
Target Sequences: NM_000635 NP_000626.2 P48378

RFX2 Antibody - IHC image of RFX2 Antibody diluted at 1:600 and staining in paraffin-embedded human glioma performed on a Leica BondTM system. After dewaxing and hydration, antigen retrieval was mediated by high pressure in a citrate buffer (pH 6.0). Section was blocked with 10% normal goat serum 30min at RT. Then primary antibody (1% BSA) was incubated at 4°C overnight. The primary is detected by a biotinylated secondary antibody and visualized using an HRP conjugated SP system.
