PNMA5

paraneoplastic Ma antigen family member 5

PNMA5 encodes a member of the paraneoplastic Ma antigen protein family. These proteins have been implicated in the development of paraneoplastic disorders resulting from an immune response directed against them. Paraneoplastic disorders are the result of an abnormal immune response to a tumor. Multiple alternatively spliced variants, encoding the same protein, have been identified.

Gene Name: paraneoplastic Ma antigen family member 5
Synonyms: PNMA5, KIAA1934, Tumor antigen BJ-HCC-25, Paraneoplastic antigen like 5
Target Sequences: NM_001103150 NP_001096620.1 Q96PV4
