PHC3

Polyhomeotic Homolog 3 (Drosophila)

Component of a Polycomb group (PcG) multiprotein PRC1-like complex, a complex class required to maintain the transcriptionally repressive state of many genes, including Hox genes, throughout development. PcG PRC1 complex acts via chromatin remodeling and modification of histones; it mediates monoubiquitination of histone H2A 'Lys-119', rendering chromatin heritably changed in its expressibility.

Gene Name: Polyhomeotic Homolog 3 (Drosophila)
Synonyms: PHC3, EDR3, Early development regulator 3, Polyhomeotic like 3, PH3, Polyhomeotic-like protein 3, Homolog of polyhomeotic 3, HPH3
Target Sequences: NM_024947 NP_079223.3 Q8NDX5

PHC3 Antibody - Antibody staining PHC3 in human kidney tissue sections by Immunohistochemistry (IHC-P - paraformaldehyde-fixed, paraffin-embedded sections). Tissue was fixed with formaldehyde and blocked with 3% BSA for 0. 5 hour at room temperature; antigen retrieval was by heat mediation with a citrate buffer (pH 6). Samples were incubated with primary antibody (1:25) for 1 hours at 37°C. A undiluted biotinylated goat polyvalent antibody was used as the secondary antibody.
