LRRC8B

leucine rich repeat containing 8 family, member B

Component of the volume-regulated anion channel (VRAC, also named VSOAC channel), an anion channel required to maintain a constant cell volume in response to extracellular or intracellular osmotic changes. The VRAC channel conducts iodide better than chloride and may also conduct organic osmolytes like taurine. It is unclear whether LRRC8B constitutes a pore-forming subunit or whether it is closely associated with the pore.

Gene Name: leucine rich repeat containing 8 family, member B
Synonyms: LRRC8B, KIAA0231, TALRRP, TA-LRRP
Target Sequences: D86984 BAA13220.2 Q6P9F7

LRRC8B Antibody - Immunofluorescence staining of LRRC8B in U2OS cells. Cells were fixed with 4% PFA, permeabilzed with 0.1% Triton X-100 in PBS, blocked with 10% serum, and incubated with rabbit anti-Human LRRC8B polyclonal antibody (dilution ratio 1:200) at 4°C overnight. Then cells were stained with the Alexa Fluor 488-conjugated Goat Anti-rabbit IgG secondary antibody (green) and counterstained with DAPI (blue). Positive staining was localized to Cytoplasm.
