Services
  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

IL17A

interleukin 17A

IL17A is a proinflammatory cytokine produced by activated T cells. This cytokine regulates the activities of NF-kappaB and mitogen-activated protein kinases. This cytokine can stimulate the expression of IL6 and cyclooxygenase-2 (PTGS2/COX-2), as well as enhance the production of nitric oxide (NO). High levels of this cytokine are associated with several chronic inflammatory diseases including rheumatoid arthritis, psoriasis and multiple sclerosis.

Gene Name: interleukin 17A
Family/Subfamily: Interleukin
Synonyms: IL17A, CTLA-8, CTLA8, Interleukin-17A, Interleukin 17A, IL-17, IL-17A, IL17
Target Sequences: NM_002190 NP_002181.1 Q16552

Anti-IL-17A Antibody - Western Blot. Western blot of anti-IL-17A antibody shows detection of rat recombinant IL-17A protein (lane 1). Approximately 2 ug of recombinant protein was loaded onto the gel. Primary antibody was used at a 1:1000 dilution. The membrane was washed and reacted with a 1:20000 dilution of DyLight 649 conjugated Gt-a-Rabbit IgG (. Molecular weight estimation was made by comparison to prestained MW markers indicated at the left. Other detection systems will yield similar results.
