ESYT2 / E-Syt2

extended synaptotagmin-like protein 2

Tethers the endoplasmic reticulum to the cell membrane and promotes the formation of appositions between the endoplasmic reticulum and the cell membrane. Binds glycerophospholipids in a barrel-like domain and may play a role in cellular lipid transport. Plays a role in FGF signaling via its role in the rapid internalization of FGFR1 that has been activated by FGF1 binding; this occurs most likely via the AP-2 complex.

Gene Name: extended synaptotagmin-like protein 2
Synonyms: ESYT2, CHR2SYT, Chr2 synaptotagmin, FAM62B, KIAA1228, E-Syt2, Extended synaptotagmin-2
Target Sequences: AK001181 NP_065779.1 A0FGR8

ESYT2 / E-Syt2 Antibody - IHC image of ESYT2 Antibody diluted at 1:600 and staining in paraffin-embedded human lymph node tissue performed on a Leica BondTM system. After dewaxing and hydration, antigen retrieval was mediated by high pressure in a citrate buffer (pH 6.0). Section was blocked with 10% normal goat serum 30min at RT. Then primary antibody (1% BSA) was incubated at 4°C overnight. The primary is detected by a biotinylated secondary antibody and visualized using an HRP conjugated SP system.
