centrin, EF-hand protein, 1

CETN1 encodes centrin 1, which plays important roles in the determination of centrosome position and segregation, and in the process of microtubule severing. Centrin 1 contains 4 putative EF-hand calcium-binding domains, is localized to the centrosome of interphase cells, and redistributes to the region of the spindle poles during mitosis, reflecting the dynamic behavior of the centrosome during the cell cycle.

CETN1 Antibody - 1:100 staining human kidney tissue by IHC-P. The sample was formaldehyde fixed and a heat mediated antigen retrieval step in citrate buffer was performed. The sample was then blocked and incubated with the antibody for 1.5 hours at 22°C. An HRP conjugated goat anti-rabbit antibody was used as the secondary.
