CDCP1

CUB Domain Containing Protein 1

CDCP1 (Cub Domain Containing Protein) was isolated by representational difference analysis using extracts from colon carcinoma and normal colon. It is a putative transmembrane protein with three CUB domains and is thought to be involved in cell adhesion or interaction with the extracellular matrix. CDCP1 undergoes phosphorylation on tyrosine and may undergo shedding as the protein has been detected in the lumen of both normal and cancerous colon crypts by IHC.

Gene Name: CUB Domain Containing Protein 1
Synonyms: CDCP1, CD318 antigen, Membrane glycoprotein gp140, SIMA135, TRASK, CD318
Target Sequences: NM_022842 NP_073753.3 Q9H5V8
