  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

About SLC39A5 / ZIP5

Q6ZMH5 H37888 Q6ZMH5

SLC39A5 Protein, LZT-Hs7 Protein, ZIP5 Protein, Zrt- and Irt-like protein 5 Protein, ZIP-5 Protein, Zinc transporter ZIP5 Protein

SLC39A5 / ZIP5 belongs to the ZIP family of zinc transporters that transport zinc into cells from outside, and play a crucial role in controlling intracellular zinc levels. Zinc is an essential cofactor for many enzymes and proteins involved in gene transcription, growth, development and differentiation. Mutations in this gene have been associated with autosomal dominant high myopia (MYP24). Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene.
