Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to
worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting
immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.
TCR Screening Services
Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding.
Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".
121 kDa. Protein migrates as 150-165 kDa in reduced SDS-PAGE resulting from glycosylation
HEK 293 Cells
Human IgG1 Fc
Greater than 95% by SDS-PAGE
Measured by its ability to inhibit Leptin-dependent proliferation of BaF3 mouse pro-B cells transfected with rhLEPR-Fc. The ED50 for this effect is typically 0.015-0.13 µg/ml in the presence of 3 ng/ml rhLeptin.
Less than 1.0 EU/µg protein (determined by LAL method).
Lyophilized from PBS, pH 7.4, mannitol or trehalose
Centrifuge the vial before opening. Reconstitute in sterile PBS, pH 7.4 to 50 µg/ml. Do not vortex. This solution can be stored at 2-8°C for up to 1 month. For extended storage, store at -20°C.

LEPR / Leptin Receptor belongs to the gp130 family of cytokine receptors that are known to stimulate gene transcription via activation of cytosolic STAT proteins. This protein is a receptor for leptin (an adipocyte-specific hormone that regulates body weight), and is involved in the regulation of fat metabolism, as well as in a novel hematopoietic pathway that is required for normal lymphopoiesis. Mutations in this gene have been associated with obesity and pituitary dysfunction.
