CAT / Catalase Protein LS-G132556 is Recombinant Human CAT / Catalase 1-552 aa produced in E. coli with His tag(s). It is biologically active
Predicted Molecular Weight
CAT is a key antioxidant enzyme in the bodies' defense against oxidative stress. Also, it is a heme enzyme that is present in the peroxisome of nearly all aerobic cells. CAT converts the reactive oxygen species hydrogen peroxide to water and oxygen and thereby mitigates the toxic effects of hydrogen peroxide. Recombinant human CAT protein, fused to His-tag at N-terminus, was expressed in E.coli and purified by using conventional chromatography techniques.

Centrifuge the vial prior to opening. Reconstitute in deionized water.
Lyophilized protein can be stored at -20°C. Upon reconstitution, store at 4°C for 1-2 weeks. For long term storage, it is recommended to reconstitute in 10% glycerol in deionized water, aliquot and store at -20°C or -70°C. Avoid repeated freezing and thaw.
