  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

About ANGPT1 / Angiopoietin-1

Q15389 NM_001146 NP_001137.2

ANGPT1 Protein, Angiopoietin 1 Protein, Angiopoietin-1 Protein, AGPT Protein, AGP1 Protein, ANG-1 Protein, ANG1 Protein, KIAA0003 Protein

Binds and activates TEK/TIE2 receptor by inducing its dimerization and tyrosine phosphorylation. Plays an important role in the regulation of angiogenesis, endothelial cell survival, proliferation, migration, adhesion and cell spreading, reorganization of the actin cytoskeleton, but also maintenance of vascular quiescence. Required for normal angiogenesis and heart development during embryogenesis. After birth, activates or inhibits angiogenesis, depending on the context.

Functional Assay

Functional Assay
Induction of Tie-2 phosphorylation in primary cultured HUVECs . Serum-starved human umbilical vein endothelial cells were treated with 200 ng/ml of BSA (Co) or 200 ng/ml of Angiopoietin-1 (human) (rec.) for 15 minutes. The phosphorylation of Tie-2 (Phospho-Tie-2) was measured after immunoprecipitation.

Functional Assay

Functional Assay
Glycerol spraying/low-angle rotary metal-shadowed specimens were imaged by transmission electron microscopy. Ang1 form mainly tetrameric structures, respectively.
