DOG1 (TMEM16A, ANO1) is a transmembrane protein expressed in epithelial cells and smooth muscle cells throughout the gastrointestinal tract. It functions as a calcium-activated chloride channel and mediates intestinal motility. It is highly expressed in gastrointestinal stromal tumors (GISTs).
