GPR82 is a G protein-coupled receptor involved in controlling metabolism and positively regulating body weight and food intake. It may contribute to diabetes and metabolic syndrome. In immunohistochemistry, GPR82 has membranous and cytoplasmic positivity throughout the central nervous system and also moderate expression in the lung, salivary gland, gastrointestinal tissues, gallbladder, pancreas, kidney, testes, prostate, breast, muscle, and immune tissues.
