Description
S100A4 is a member of the S100 family of calcium-binding proteins that is involved in the regulation of angiogenesis, cell survival, motility and invasion. It is expressed in the nucleus, cytoplasm and extracellular space. It is expressed in a variety of cell types, including fibroblasts, macrophages, lymphocytes, neutrophils, endothelial cells, and smooth muscle. S100A4 also has been implicated in tumor progression and metastasis by stimulating cell motility, stimulating degradation of matrix components and stimulating angiogenesis.

Usage
Immunohistochemistry: LS-B2381 was validated for use in immunohistochemistry on a panel of 21 formalin-fixed, paraffin-embedded (FFPE) human tissues after heat induced antigen retrieval in pH 6.0 citrate buffer. After incubation with the primary antibody, slides were incubated with biotinylated secondary antibody, followed by alkaline phosphatase-streptavidin and chromogen. The stained slides were evaluated by a pathologist to confirm staining specificity. The optimal working concentration for LS-B2381 was determined to be 2.5-5 ug/ml.
