ELISA Plasma Sample Diluent (Antigen-Down) should be utilized as a buffer matrix for diluting out plasma samples in antigen-down or antigen-capture ELISA formats. This diluent is also an excellent choice for diluting out antigen standards in ELISA standard curve preparation. This ELISA sample diluent contains proprietary additives in a buffered BSA protein base providing an assay environment that minimizes nonspecific binding while maintaining proper ionic strength and pH for efficient antibody-antigen interaction. Specially formulated additives inhibit thrombin activity (clotting) and complement activity during the plasma sample incubation period.
