LS-F24744 is a 96-well enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for the Quantitative detection of Mouse CD30L / CD153 in samples of Cell Culture Supernatants, Plasma and Serum. It is based upon a Sandwich assay principle and can be used to detect levels of CD30L / CD153 as low as 6 picograms per milliliter.

Upon receiving a custom kit order, the kit will be assembled and quality control tested before being shipped out. Kit assembly and testing typically takes 4 to 6 weeks. In most cases the final kit is based on the Sandwich assay principle, with a few being Competitive EIA based. Specifications such as Range, Sensitivity, and Precision are defined upon completion. In the event that the custom kit cannot be successfully developed with 6 weeks of the order date, the customer will be notified and the order canceled at no cost.

The human CD30L (CD153) gene is located at 9q33. It contains 4 exons and spans more than 17.1 kb. CD153 is expressed on the surface of B cells and this expression is upregulated upon CD154 (CD40LG), IL4, and B-cell receptor engagement. In these cells, engagement of CD153 by T cell CD30 inhibits immunoglobulin class switch recognition as well as IgG, IgA, and IgE production, suggesting that this 'reverse signaling' modulates the CD154-dependent switching of B cells into the pool producing IgG, IgA, and IgE. Additionally, recombinant human CD30L enhanced the proliferation of CD3 -activated T cells, but induced differential responses, including cell death, in several CD30-positive lymphoma-derived cell lines.

This cytokine is a ligand for TNFRSF8/CD30, which is a cell surface antigen and a marker for Hodgkin lymphoma and related hematologic malignancies. The engagement of this cytokine expressed on B cell surface plays an inhibitory role in modulating Ig class switch.
