LS-F36763 is a 96-well enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) for the Quantitative detection of Human NRG2 in samples of Plasma, Serum and Tissue Homogenates. It is based upon a Sandwich assay principle and can be used to detect levels of NRG2 as low as 0.094 nanograms per millilter.

This kit was based on sandwich enzyme-linked immune-sorbent assay technology. Anti- NRG-2 antibody was pre-coated onto 96-well plates. And the biotin conjugated anti- NRG-2 antibody was used as detection antibodies. The standards, test samples and biotin conjugated detection antibody were added to the wells subsequently, and wash with wash buffer. HRP-Streptavidin was added and unbound conjugates were washed away with wash buffer. TMB substrates were used to visualize HRP enzymatic reaction. TMB was catalyzed by HRP to produce a blue color product that changed into yellow after adding acidic stop solution. The density of yellow is proportional to the NRG-2 amount of sample captured in plate. Read the O.D. absorbance at 450nm in a microplate reader, and then the concentration of NRG-2 can be calculated.
Neuregulin 2 (NRG2) is a novel member of the neuregulin family of growth and differentiation factors. Through interaction with the Erbb family of receptors, NRG2 induces the growth and differentiation of epithelial, neuronal, glial, and other types of cells. The gene consists of 12 exons and the genomic structure is similar to that of neuregulin 1 (NRG1), another member of the neuregulin family of ligands.
