ApoC-II gene contains 3338 nucleotides with 3 introns, of 2391, 167, and 298 bases, and 4 exons. The first intron is located within the 5-prime untranslated region of the gene and contains 4 Alu sequences. The second intron interrupts the codon specifying amino acid -11 of the signal peptide.
