  • Immunohistochemistry Services

  • Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

  • TCR Screening Services

  • Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Description: Epstein-Barr virus-induced G protein-coupled receptor 2 (EBI2, also known as GPR183) is an oxysterol receptor involved in B cell migration and function. NIBR189 is an antagonist of EBI2 (IC50s = 11 and 15 nM for human and mouse receptors, respectively). It is selective for EBI2 over a panel of other receptors, enzymes, and transporters. NIBR189 blocks the oxysterol-induced migration of U937 monocytic cells. H151_ChemicalStructureImage.png

Usage Information

NIBR189 is supplied as a crystalline solid. A stock solution may be made by dissolving the NIBR189 in the solvent of choice. NIBR189 is soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol, DMSO, and dimethyl formamide (DMF), which should be purged with an inert gas. The solubility of NIBR189 in these solvents is approximately 1, 2, and 14 mg/ml, respectively. NIBR189 is sparingly soluble in aqueous buffers. For maximum solubility in aqueous buffers, NIBR189 should first be dissolved in DMF and then diluted with the aqueous buffer of choice. NIBR189 has a solubility of approximately 0.1 mg/ml in a 1:8 solution of DMF:PBS (pH 7.2) using this method. We do not recommend storing the aqueous solution for more than one day.
