Vimentin purified from cultured human foreskin fibroblasts.
Specificity
Recognizes vimentin in cultured mammalian cells and tissue sections. Specifically stains the vimentin band (58kD) using total cell or tissue extracts in Western Blot. No reactivity to desmin, keratin, neurofilaments or glial filaments. Species cross-reactivity: Shows wide cross-reactivity among mammalian species using various immunolabeling techniques.

Usage
Suitable for use in Immunohistochemistry, Immunocytochemistry, Immunofluorescence, Immunoperoxidase, and Western Blot. Immunohistochemistry: 1:10-1:20. Shows reactivity on frozen tissue sections as well as formalin fixed paraffin embedded tissue by immunoperoxidase and immunofluorescent assays. Western Blot: 1:50.
