Purified human Anion Exchanger 1 (AE1, Band3).
Specificity
Recognizes human Anion Exchanger 1 (AE-1, Band3). Does not recognize non-erythroid band-3 from human fibroblasts. Species cross-reactivity: Does not recognize band-3 from equine, mouse, bovine, porcine, guinea pig, canine or mouse erythrocytes.

- Western blot (1:1000 - 1:5000)
- ELISA (1:10000 - 1:50000)
Usage
Suitable for use in ELISA and Western Blot. Western Blot: 1:1000-1:5000. AE1 is ~90-100kD protein. It aggregates easily forming dimers and multimers. Aggregation may be avoided if membranes are prepared in N-ethylmaleimide. It may also be proteolytically processed to smaller fragments of 60, 40 and 20kD. ELISA: 1:10000-1:50000.
