SIRPA / CD172a antibody was raised against rat peritoneal macrophages.
Recognizes rat CD172a, also known as Signal regulatory protein (SIRP). CD172a is expressed selectively by myeloid cells and by neurons. Binds to a different epitope on SIRP than ED9. Does not block the interaction of CD172a-CD47.
Suitable for use in Flow Cytometry and Immunohistochemistry (frozen and paraffin). Flow Cytometry: 1:100-1:200. Use 10 ul to label 1E6 cells in 100ul. Immunohistochemistry: Requires protein digestion pre-treatment of paraffin sections e. g. trypsin or pronase.
PBS, pH 7.4, 0.09% Sodium Azide
Short term: 4°C. Long term: Store at -20°C. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
