RFXANK antibody was raised against synthetic peptide derived from the spectrin-binding domain of the human ankyrin G protein.
Specific for s all splice forms of Ankyrin G containing a spectrin-binding domain. Does not cross-react with related ankyrin isoforms. Species cross-reactivity: Human, mouse, rabbit, rat, canine.
Suitable for use in Immunofluorescence, ELISA, Western Blot and Immunoprecipitation. ELISA (native): 0.1-1.0 ug/ml. Detects a band between ~200-300kD. Western Blot: 1-3 ug/ml. For best results on rat brain, mouse brain or MDCK cell lysates, add 0.3 M sucrose to incubation buffer. Immunofluorescence (frozen sections): 5-10 ug/ml. Sensitive to fixation conditions. Recommend 1% paraformaldehyde for perfusion and 4 hrs of post fixation, after perfusion. For sciatic nerve, recommend 2% paraformaldehyde for 2 hrs at 4?C. Immunoprecipitation (native): 5 ug/ IP.

Major histocompatibility (MHC) class II molecules are transmembrane proteins that have a central role in development and control of the immune system. The protein encoded by this gene, along with regulatory factor X-associated protein and regulatory factor-5, forms a complex that binds to the X box motif of certain MHC class II gene promoters and activates their transcription.
