Anti-Papain Antibody was produced by repeated immunizations with pork Papain protein isolated from papaya.

Assay by immunoelectrophoresis resulted in a single precipitin arc against anti-Peroxidase, anti-Goat Serum as well as purified and partially purified Papain [Carica papaya]. Cross reactivity against Papain from other sources may occur but has not been specifically determined.

Anti-Papain antibody has been assayed against 1.0 ug of Papain [Carica papaya] in a standard capture ELISA using ABTS (2,2'-azino-bis-[3-ethylbenthiazoline-6-sulfonic acid]) as a substrate for 30 minutes at room temperature. A working dilution of 1:1000 to 1:4000 of the reconstitution concentration is suggested for this product. Researchers should determine optimal titers for applications that are not stated below. The applications listed have been tested for the unconjugated form of this product. Other forms have not been tested.

Lyophilized from 10 mg/mL BSA (Protease and Ig free), 0.02 M Potassium Phosphate, pH 7.2, 0.15 M NaCl, 0.01% Gentamicin. Do NOT add Sodium Azide

Reconstitute in 100 µL of deionized water.

Short term 4°C, long term aliquot and store at -20°C, avoid freeze-thaw cycles. Centrifuge product before removing cap. Only dilute immediately prior to use.
