Nucleolar fraction prepared from Xenopus laevis oocytes.
Specificity
Stains specifically the nucleolus and Cajal bodies in interphase cells. Recognizes 180kD polypeptide in Xenopus (xNopp180), homolog to the rat polypeptide (Nopp140). When applied at high concentration to human cells the antibody reacts with a nucleolar component which, however, does not correspond to xNopp180. Species cross-reactivity: Xenopus laevis, Xenopus borealis, XLKE-A6 cells; negative with Pleurodelis, Triturus, Rana, chicken, rat, mouse.

Usage
Suitable for use in Immunoprecipitation, Western Blot (Western), Immunofluorescence microscopy and Immunohistochemistry (frozen sections, also after fixation with paraformaldehyde). Western Blot: 1:50 (ECL method). Immunohistochemistry: 1:5-1:10; Incubation time 1 hr at RT.
