Slices containing purified FrpD250-6xHis-tagged protein were excised from 10% SDS-PAGE gels, grinded, mixed with 1 mg/ml of aluminum hydroxide in PBS, and used to immunize a rabbit.
Specificity
The polyclonal antibody reacts with Orf1 (FrpD), a 28 - 32 kDa <i>Neisseria meningitidis</i> outer membrane lipoprotein. Orf1 is highly conserved in a set of meningococcal strains representative of all serogroups and does not exhibit any similarity to known sequences of other organisms.
