Immunohistochemistry Services

Work with LifeSpan to design a custom immunohistochemistry to address your specific biological question. Outsource the entire localization process without having to worry about finding and characterizing target specific antibodies, sourcing and validating difficult-to-find tissues, and having the ability to interpret the resulting immunostaining in relation to complex human pathologies.

TCR Screening Services

Test your therapeutic antibodies in immunohistochemistry against a broad panel of normal frozen human tissue types in order to determine potential unintended binding. Our non-GLP TCR services are designed on the FDA recommendation outlined in their "Points to Consider in the Manufacture and Testing of Monoclonal Antibody Products for Human Use".

Immunogen
Synthetic peptide derived from the COOH terminal sequence (cytoplasmic domain) of the human alpha V integrin subunit.
Epitope
C-Terminus
Specificity
Recognizes CD51 (Integrin alpha V). The epitope recognized is on the cytoplasmic domain of the protein and it is thus intracellular. No cross-reactivity to alpha 1, alpha 2, alpha 3, alpha 4 or alpha 6 integrin subunits. Species cross-reactivity: Human, goat, equine, porcine, sheep and mouse.
Usage
Suitable for use in ELISA, RIA, Western Blot, Immunoprecipitation and Immunohistochemistry. ELISA: 1:500. RIA: 1:500. Western Blot: 1:250. Recognizes a single band of 150kD when denatured, but not reduced. Under reducing conditions recognizes two major bands of 25 and 27kD, and to a lesser extent the full length 150kD band. This pattern is consistent with the fact that mature alpha V is composed of a disulfide bonded heavy (125kD) and a light (25kD) chains derived from a proteolytically cleaved precursor. Immunoprecipitation: 10 ul of antibody is sufficient to precipitate alpha V/beta 1 from 5x1E6 cells. Immunohistochemistry: 1:500. Acetone fixed tissue only.
Presentation
0.5% sodium azide, before the addition of glycerol to 40%
Storage
Short term: store at 4°C. Long term: store at -20°C. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles.
Restrictions
For research use only.
