Specificity
Recognizes lymphocytes, granulocytes, monocytes and macrophages with increase in levels on memory T cells. CD11a or LFA 1 has a key role in mediating leukocyte adhesion to endothelium during inflammatory responses through binding to ICAM 1 (CD54).
