Specificity
Recognizes CD49d, also known as integrin alpha 4 subunit, which associates with either integrin beta 1 (to form VLA-4) or beta 7. CD49d is expressed by lymphocytes, monocytes, eosinophils and thymocytes. VLA-4 mediates cell adhesion to VCAM-1 and fibronectin. Clone 44H6 is reported to induce homotypic aggregation. XXX has not confirmed this work.

Usage
Flow Cytometry: Use 10 ul of the antibody to label 100 ul whole blood or 10^6 cells in 100 ul. Method sheets are available on request. The applications listed have been tested for the unconjugated form of this product. Other forms have not been tested.

Storage
Store at 4°C or at -20°C. Store undiluted. Avoid freeze-thaw cycles. Protect from light. Microcentrifugation recommended if solution contains precipitate.
